Hughes Development has undertaken numerous development projects in its history. Below are just a few of the development projects in which Hughes Development takes great pride, and which showcase our capabilities as a developer.

 

Providence Retirement Home
Located on Charlestown Road in New Albany, Indiana, this project was a residential class wood frame and brick structure with several amenities sitting gracefully behind a 1/2 acre pond.
2501 Place
This project was a renovation of an old administration building located in the first gate of the Army Ammunition Plant in Jeffersonville, Indiana. This building was a challenge due to the decades of neglect it had endured. Now stands a quality facility with over 53,000 square feet of premium office space.
U of L Academic Sciences Building
This is a rendering of the first project performed for the University of Louisville. The U of L Academic Sciences Building has two unique arches, a monumental staircase, mahogany paneling and terrazzo floor.
Lions Eye Research Institute
This facility was the second project built for the University of Louisville. This building was a 30,000 square foot addition and renovation which included limestone clad, gold mirrored glass and a three story atrium.
Bass-Rudd Tennis Center
Our third development at the University of Louisville campus, this facility is one of the top five collegiate tennis centers in the nation and has six indoor and six outdoor courts built to professional standards.
Louisville Waterfront Park Development
This project was a $23 million venture. Featuring a 16 acre park, a 5 acre event plaza, wading pool, fountain and observation deck. The site is equipped with its own self sufficient utility system, erosion control, and irrigation system. The project was fully landscaped and equipped with its own small mariana.
Riverfront Park
This $6 million project in Jeffersonville, Indiana consisted of a 5 acre park area with walking paths and an observation deck.
